Partner Network Alliance Integration
We are taking steps to innovate & preserve the world's data for 1000's of years to come. Through innovation, collaboration and friendly donors, we can make this possible. Join the cause via Team@TXTWRK.com to support our community initiative. Join our mission to preserve user data forever, whether you’re a major network like TikTok or a micro network for niche communities. Our project, fueled by community support and donors, ensures public profiles and content live on, even if your service shuts down.
Why it matters: Preserving data protects users’ digital legacy—posts, profiles, and contributions—vital for personal identity, community history, and cultural value.
Requirements: Submit one request per domain, using your owned domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) and it also helps to make the request from your network/brand page here at TXTWRK such as TXTWRK.com/@TikTok for e.g. or TXTWRK.com/@MyDrivingNetwork
Commitment: If your service closes, you agree to transfer the domain and public user data to us, so we can host profiles at txtwrk.com/network/[yournetwork]/[username]. Our data transfer kit (soon to be developed) will make this seamless, with full transparency about what data will be preserved exactly.
Review process: We evaluate requests for community impact, user value, and alignment with our goal of a resilient digital ecosystem. Submit below and track status in “Your Network Requests.” Contact Team@TXTWRK.com for help. Currently you can install our widget into your settings panel using our Legacy Forecer API kit and your users can set intent today, which helps us understand our role & development better.

Street: Cornmarket / Market Place (around HSBC Bank & Primark lights) City: Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands, England, United Kingdom, Europe
Stand outside the HSBC building at the junction of Cornmarket and Market Place and you're standing in one of Derby's oldest continuously used public spaces. For centuries, this has been where people came to trade, meet, celebrate, debate, shop and simply watch the world go by.
Today
The area is surrounded by some of Derby's best-known landmarks:
•HSBC Bank
•Derby Market Place
•Derby Market Hall
•The Guildhall Theatre
•Derby Cathedral Quarter
•A wide variety of cafés, restaurants, pubs and independent shops
Throughout the year the Market Place hosts seasonal events, food markets, live entertainment, Christmas lights, charity events and public celebrations. Although many of the buildings have changed, the purpose of this location has remained remarkably similar: bringing people together.
---
Around 500 Years Ago (c. AD 1525)
You would already recognise this as the centre of Derby.
The Market Place bustled with merchants selling grain, livestock, cloth, leather, meat and produce from surrounding villages. Horses and carts filled the streets while traders called out their goods. It was the economic heart of Derby and one of the busiest places in the county.
---
Around 1,000 Years Ago (c. AD 1025)
Derby was one of the Five Boroughs of the Danelaw.
The marketplace was already an important gathering place where Anglo-Saxon and Viking traders exchanged goods. Timber buildings lined narrow streets while blacksmiths, merchants and craftsmen worked nearby.
Much of today's street layout follows the same medieval pattern established over a thousand years ago.
---
Around 1,500 Years Ago (c. AD 525)
Following the end of Roman Britain, this area was largely open countryside.
Woodland covered much of the landscape, with small farming communities scattered across the River Derwent valley. Tracks crossed the countryside where roads and pavements now stand.
---
Around 2,000 Years Ago (c. AD 25)
The Roman settlement of Derventio (Little Chester) flourished just north of modern Derby.
This location was probably open farmland and woodland, connected by tracks leading towards the Roman settlement.
---
Around 2,500 Years Ago (c. 475 BC)
During the Iron Age, the landscape consisted of forests, grazing land and cultivated clearings.
Small farming communities occupied the fertile valley while local tribes raised livestock and grew crops.
---
Around 3,000 Years Ago (c. 975 BC)
The Bronze Age landscape was dominated by woodland surrounding the River Derwent.
Early farming families cleared small patches of land using bronze tools, while deer, wild boar and birds roamed the forests.
There were no buildings, roads or market squares—only nature and the first signs of permanent human settlement.
---
A Place That Never Stopped Being the Centre
Over the last three thousand years this location has transformed from woodland, to farmland, to Roman countryside, to an Anglo-Saxon meeting place, to a Viking market, through medieval trade, Victorian prosperity and into today's modern city centre.
The faces have changed.
The buildings have changed.
The businesses have changed.
But one thing has remained remarkably constant:
> People have always come here to meet.
That makes the junction around Cornmarket and Market Place not just the geographical heart of Derby—but one of its oldest social, commercial and cultural hearts as well.

We're not taking things too seriously, but we will be here, remembered in history, for as long as humans and technology co-exist in this universe.
That we can guarantee.
Beyond that, all must go. Even our network, one day, will be swallowed by space and time. That is one of the deepest lessons in our journey on the web.
The lesson is not to live in fear of the internet.
The lesson is to understand it.
The lesson is to make progress while we are here.
The world is in a shake-up. Australia has already moved into a new era of social media restrictions for under-16s. The UK is changing too, with the Online Safety Act pushing social platforms, search services and user-generated content networks into a new level of responsibility.
This is no longer just about posting.
It is about safety, memory, visibility, data, identity, discovery, education and legacy.
For years, social media companies have talked about engagement, growth, trends, creators and attention. But very few have openly explained how people should think about their long-term data. Very few have asked what happens to your posts, your profile, your public work, your private moments, your community contribution and your digital presence over time.
They made platforms for us.
They did not make a full plan for us.
TXTWRK is making that plan.
TXTWRK Data Legacy is part of that work. It helps people think more clearly about how they want to be remembered online, where their content should exist, what should stay private, what should become public, what should be searchable, and what should form part of their wider digital footprint.
From selected moments.
From a private profile.
From a full public profile.
Via work networks.
Via social networks.
Via community networks.
Via public search.
Via archived content.
Via verified contribution history.
Or not at all.
The point is choice.
The point is education.
The point is giving people tools before they make mistakes, not judging them afterwards.
"We're not taking things too seriously" is an understatement, to be clear to our stakeholders. The work undertaken through TXTWRK, the steps into Derby College through Derby Community Hub, the world-first style tools we have built, and the rest of our legacy movements are serious.
But the deeper message still stands.
Do not take life so seriously that you stop moving.
Do not take the internet so casually that you forget your impact.
Make steps.
Make progress.
Build something.
Learn something.
Share something useful.
Protect yourself.
Protect your community.
Think before you post.
Think before you disappear into private cultures that do not always protect your data, do not always reward your contribution, and do not always help your work be remembered.
Public networks matter when they are built correctly. Public domains matter. Open contribution matters. Community memory matters.
This is where TXTWRK stands out.
We are not only building for user numbers. We are building infrastructure. A tool. A network layer. A community system that can be used by real organisations, real projects and real people.
These are not just names. They are examples of a future where we build at speed, develop with community in mind, plan with efficiency, and scale our server from minimum to maximum demand while keeping the ability to operate it ourselves.
Our founder can write this knowing he has done more than enough.
But the aim is not to distract you from your dreams. It is to inject purpose into your next moves.
Less time lost in endless live feeds.
More time building.
More time learning.
More time selling if live selling is your lane.
More time creating value.
More time understanding the public web.
More time thinking about what your profile, posts, projects, work and community contribution say about you.
Our recommendation is simple:
1. Understand the internet. Research and learn about the public web, search, archives, visibility and how online memory works.
2. Decide what you want to share now and in the future. Create safeguards for yourself before your content travels further than expected.
3. Lean towards public networks that help your work, ideas and contributions be remembered properly, instead of relying only on private cultures where your data may be hidden, harvested, lost, misunderstood or used without enough benefit returning to you.
Big tech does not talk about progress like this.
They talk like platforms.
We talk like a community.
They often act like data is oil.
We treat data as memory, learning, contribution and responsibility.
TXTWRK is big community, not just big tech.
We are not afraid to share intel.
We are not afraid to explain what works.
We are not afraid to explain what does not work.
We are not afraid to build in public, teach in public and create tools people can use to make smarter choices.
Because the future of social media is not only about who gets banned, who gets verified, who gets views, or who owns the biggest app.
The future is about whether people understand their impact.
Whether communities can build safely.
Whether organisations can operate transparently.
Whether people can choose how they are remembered online.
And whether technology can serve human progress while humans are still here to shape it.

Here is an overview from @UKGovernment national government support for the top 10 cities of the United Kingdom after BBC Reports that cities need rejuvenation
---
Assuming England / UK local-government funding, the cleanest 10-year source is the House of Commons Library local authority finance dataset. I’ve used 2016/17 to 2025/26 and ranked city-like local authorities by a national-funding-style measure: Settlement funding + Other grants + Social care grants, excluding council tax. This is not a perfect “city funding” measure because UK funding is officially published by local authority, not always by city boundary. (House of Commons Library1)

### What stands out
Birmingham is number one every year by a huge margin. After that, the same northern/midlands big-city authorities dominate: Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield.
The Commons Library notes that its main “core spending power” measure includes council tax, business rates, grants and other elements, while the spending figures can include wider income and ring-fenced grant effects. So for “national funding,” the table above deliberately avoids council tax and uses the grant/settlement-side components instead. (House of Commons Library1)
For a broader “all public grants across government” view, GOV.UK’s Government Grants Register is published annually and is described as the most comprehensive view of grant spending across departments and arm’s-length bodies, but it is not as straightforwardly ranked by city. (gov.uk2)
Yeah — London absolutely should be in there if we are talking about money going into cities/places, not just single local authorities.
The issue is that UK funding data is normally published by local authority, so London appears as 32 boroughs + City of London + Greater London Authority, not as one neat “London” row. So for a fair “city” view, London needs to be added up as a whole.
Using the House of Commons Library local authority finance dataset for 2016/17 to 2025/26, and using the funding-side items: Settlement funding + Other grants + Social care grants, excluding council tax, the “classic” top 10 looks like this:
Rank
City / place
Approx. 10-year total
1
London
£54.24bn
2
Birmingham
£6.82bn
3
Liverpool
£3.44bn
4
Manchester
£3.43bn
5
Leeds
£2.93bn
6
Sheffield
£2.76bn
7
Bradford
£2.55bn
8
Leicester
£1.90bn
9
Bristol
£1.84bn
10
Nottingham
£1.79bn
So the real picture is:
London is miles ahead because it is being counted as the whole capital: boroughs + City of London + GLA.
Then the consistent big recipients are:
Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Leicester, Bristol and Nottingham.
Important note: this is not all money spent in the city economy. It is local-government funding data. It does not fully include every national spend such as NHS, rail, universities, policing projects, direct department schemes, private finance, or capital mega-projects. For “who gets the most government money overall,” London would still be near or at the top because of transport, national institutions, departments, policing, infrastructure, arts, universities, and capital-city functions. The local-authority dataset just gives the cleanest comparable 10-year council funding view.
