TXTWRK Developer Hub

TXTWRK Developer Hub is where communities, creators, teams and developers learn how to connect websites, servers, checklists, events, messaging, files, workspaces and long-term data tools into the TXTWRK platform.

TXTWRK currently organises its developer tools around 7 main API Kits. These kits help connect community work to real server-backed systems, from public checklists and local events through to file storage, messaging, workspace editing, network integration and long-term data preservation.

TXTWRK API Kits

+ 1. Linking API Kit
Connect external websites, domains, locations and TXTWRK search/linking tools into your own website.

Install via Dev

This helps community websites route people back into TXTWRK activity, local discovery, profiles, places, posts and useful public information.

+ 2. Directory API Kit for Checklists
Connect checklist work to server-backed folders and files.

Install via Dev

This allows checklist users to work with uploads, documents, media, notes, source folders and project files from a controlled directory space. Directory space can also be split by domain or subdomain, so different pages or communities can keep their file storage separate while still working through TXTWRK.

+ 3. Events API Kit
Display and manage community events from TXTWRK on your own website.

Install via Dev

This supports local community discovery, upcoming events, world calendar style activity and public event visibility across connected websites, with location and date filtering.

+ 4. Messaging API Kit
Connect messaging routes into TXTWRK so communities, workers and pages can communicate around shared work.

Install via Messaging & Server

Messaging can be dedicated to one page/account or shared centrally where a community wants the conversation kept together. The Messaging API Kit can also support unlimited data transfer, dependent on your own server capacity, bandwidth and storage setup.

Messaging access extends through the Server API Kit using server-level messaging access controls, and can be turned on or off per conversation where supported.

+ 5. Server API Kit
Connect and verify your own server so TXTWRK can help manage selected files, folders and permissions.

Install via Server

The Server API Kit supports directory access, worker access, connected work tools, server-level messaging access and file access granting. This allows server owners to decide whether messaging should be dedicated or shared, and which workers, contributors or users can access selected folders, checklist directories, uploads, files or workspace-linked paths.

+ 6. Workspace API Kit
Connect server-backed work into TXTWRK workspace tools.

Install via Workspace & Server

Workspace allows selected users to edit, review, test, download, clear or continue work from live and test environments. This is the execution layer where server ownership, granted file access, messaging and real work can meet.

The Workspace API Kit also supports workspace chat, requests for file access, worker collaboration, and a unique dropdown file management system for moving between available files, folders, granted paths and server-connected work areas. This system is developing with further upgrades throughout 2026.

+ 7. Legacy Forever Data API Kit
Support participating networks with long-term profile availability, network history and data continuity.

Install via Data

This API Kit is designed to help keep profiles online after a service, platform or network ends, where the required settings have been enabled by participating networks and the data has passed review.

Where appropriate, TXTWRK may absorb selected network data to help maintain historical developments, public records and community continuity through routes such as txtwrk.com/network/name_of_network/@username.

Directory Storage and Messaging Can Work Differently

Directory storage can be split by domain or subdomain. For example, one community may use txtwrk.com, while another uses lifestyle.txtwrk.com, with each having its own dedicated directory space.

Messaging does not have to be split in the same way. Through the Server API Kit and Messaging API Kit, messages can remain centralised through TXTWRK while files and folders stay separated by server, domain, subdomain or page.

Why This Matters

TXTWRK is building a community-level work system. It connects public needs, checklists, files, servers, workers, messages, workspaces, events and long-term data into one route.

This allows people to move from idea, to checklist, to server files, to worker access, to workspace execution, to completed public work.

Our guidance is still improving as the platform grows. Labels, tabs and tools may change as we simplify the system, but the goal remains the same: make it easier for people to plug their work, websites, servers and communities into TXTWRK.

Embed Code for TXTWRK Search Widget:
