Two years ago, on 12th January 2024, TXTWRK began as an idea: to make work visible, meaningful, and owned by the people doing it.
Foundations over finish lines
We may of not achieved our goals, but we are now steps ahead in our foundational development versus other big tech in the markets, even boasting a monetising system like no other. Alongside this, our recent updates to the + Product feature now allow people to connect their limited edition item to a log book record and resell within our marketplace.
Location services & network connections
Updates on our location services are still in action. We will be adding base level addresses and enabling people to add streets to their locations. These connect to over 10 different elements across our network, including our core feature feedback.
Platform focus — this year
As we go into this year, we are focusing on the basics:

•iOS, Android & Windows app development
As we round the platform and master our web code, we will be welcoming people to provide research and advice through our checklists, where we want to help people gain XP within our community.
Data legacy & data forever
We now also have a data legacy plan with our data forever setting, providing a base of 5GB for all users. There are server-side options for people to manage their data and enhance their experiences — from understanding how their data is made, right through to how it will be remembered centuries from now.
We’ve mastered the plan. Now we want your feedback, every year, from all communities, all cultures, and all challenges.
Education & community impact — Derby College
Progress with Derby College was incredible. Twenty students gained work experience in social media development, while also understanding how our presence inspired them to get involved in community efforts and even start up their own business.
We’re aiming to take this partnership further and will be in communication with Derby College to align our targets and ensure TXTWRK is always on the table for all students, helping them document their work experience.
Adoption, quality & what’s ahead
Worldwide adoption has not yet been seen due to our focus on platform development rather than promoting signups. Nevertheless, quality of content is worth more. The system has been tested throughout development, pushed to its limits, and we now understand the challenges ahead — from required updates to ensuring we can provide a true multi-platform experience.
