A Message to Our Manufacturing, Development & Design Community

Firstly, thank you for your interest in working with The ImFashion Group.

We know many of you have been waiting for a response. Please know that you have not been ignored.

Over the past year, our priority has been building the early foundations of our technology, governance, intellectual property, and collaboration ecosystem. Rather than rushing into partnerships before the right systems were in place, we focused on creating a platform that can support long-term, transparent, and scalable collaboration.

That platform is TXTWRK.

We're now opening TXTWRK Applications as the official way to apply for opportunities with The ImFashion Group.

Apply through TXTWRK for:

•🏭 Manufacturing Partnerships
•👗 Clothing Development Partnerships

•🤝 Strategic Partnerships
•🙌 Volunteer Opportunities
•⭐ Sponsorship Opportunities
•💡 Innovation Grants
•🏷️ Brand & Trademark Licensing (for approved partners)

Every application will be managed through a shared collaboration workspace with checklists, milestones, discussions, and progress updates. This allows applicants and stakeholders to communicate more openly and transparently while ensuring everyone has visibility of where each opportunity stands.

If you've previously contacted us through Alibaba or another platform, we sincerely appreciate your patience. We encourage you to submit your application through TXTWRK so we can review opportunities using our new structured process.

By introducing TXTWRK Applications, we're creating a fair, transparent, and consistent process for everyone. It helps us connect with people who are genuinely committed to working with The ImFashion Group, while giving applicants a clear way to demonstrate their interest, share their expertise, and collaborate with us from the very beginning.

We believe the strongest partnerships are built on open communication, shared accountability, and visible progress. TXTWRK has been designed to support exactly that, creating an environment where manufacturers, developers, designers, volunteers, sponsors, and strategic partners can work alongside us as we continue building the future of fashion, technology, and creative innovation together.

The ImFashion Group Story... Most brands begin with a logo. Ours began with a fight.

From trademark battles and legal challenges to securing domains, defending brands and building an independent fashion group from the ground up, every label within The ImFashion Group has a story behind it. Some trademarks were won, some opportunities were lost, and some battles lasted years.

This is the real timeline behind ImFashion, Designer B, Designer Baby, Designer G, Jheeze, Streamer and the journey that brought them together.

The story...
The timeline...
The future...

1 | Mr A Claire launches Designer.money in 2021 as a community startup and files for the 'Designer Money' trademark, independently of The ImFashion Group, which would be formed later.

2 | Mr A Claire launches DesignerB.co.uk as a personal startup to build and fully own his own clothing label, filing for the 'Designer B' trademark in the UK in 2021.

3 | The 'Designer Money' trademark faces objections from Money Industries despite more than 100 clothing-related trademarks containing the word "Money" existing at the time. Over the following 2–3 years, more than 30 correspondences are exchanged in an attempt to secure registration.

4 | Intentions to oppose the 'Designer B' trademark are filed by Fruit of the Loom and two other organisations. We respond with a detailed defence addressing the concerns raised and successfully secure the trademark months later.

5 | We file the 'Designer Baby' trademark to strengthen protection around the Designer B brand family and to capitalise on an opportunity after another party failed to secure the trademark. The trademark is later offered for sale or licensing to the interested party, although the business ultimately ceases operations despite building a strong online presence.

6 | We secure the 'ImTheStreamer' trademark through ImTheStreamer.com before later donating the trademark to streamer SASelitePro after successfully securing rights to the word mark 'Streamer'.

7 | Streamer.clothing is acquired and the word mark 'Streamer' is successfully trademarked in the UK, adding further depth to our growing portfolio of brands in 2023.

8 | 'ImFashion' is trademarked and ImFashion.co.uk is registered, laying the foundations for what would become The ImFashion Group, which is later formally registered as a UK business.

9 | The Intellectual Property Office ultimately refuses registration of the 'Designer Money' trademark following years of correspondence, resulting in approximately £2,000 in legal costs.

10 | 'Jheeze' via Jheeze.com and 'Designer G' via DesignerG.co.uk are successfully registered as trademarks, completing The ImFashion Group's collection of six labels: Designer B, Designer Baby, Designer G, ImFashion, Jheeze and Streamer. For the first time, all six brands are unified under one roof through ImFashion.co.uk and are featured prominently within TXTWRK Shop.

The journey continues...

Forever Chemicals need to be understood better, from interaction with these fibres to the chemicals that run off the ground to make them. Continue reading this post to learn what you can do about it today...

Story continues...

---

As part of our ongoing coverage at @ImFashion via TXTWRK.com, we're diving deeper into this critical and evolving theme in fashion and textiles. The original BBC article (linked above) highlighted how PFAS—per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as "forever chemicals"—are commonly used in items like school uniforms for their water- and stain-resistant properties. These persistent compounds don't break down, accumulating in bodies, water, soil, and wildlife, with established links to serious health concerns including certain cancers, thyroid issues, and more.

Fast-forward to today (February 3, 2026): The UK Government has just unveiled its first-ever national PFAS Plan—a coordinated framework to better understand sources, spread, and exposure risks while pushing for reduced use and safer alternatives. Key actions include ramped-up environmental testing (e.g., more monitoring of water, soils, and coastal areas), a forthcoming consultation on statutory limits for PFAS in England's public drinking water, and steps to align more closely with EU regulations by December 2028, which aim to restrict non-essential uses. While not a full ban yet, it signals progress toward protecting public health and the environment—though critics argue it's "crushingly disappointing" compared to bolder moves in places like France (banning PFAS in clothing/cosmetics from 2026) and Denmark.

Our take? This is a pivotal moment for the fashion industry to accelerate change. PFAS provide functional perks, but the long-term costs to human health (via skin contact and bioaccumulation) and the planet (via persistent pollution) are unacceptable. We want—and believe in—a future of better production, radical transparency, consumer empowerment, and practical care guidance so people can make informed choices about what touches their skin.

Better production & innovation: The phase-out is driving real advancements. Shift to proven PFAS-free alternatives like:
•Water-based or silicone-based repellents for effective water resistance without fluorine.
•Bio-based/plant-derived coatings (e.g., from renewable sources) for hydrophobic performance.
•Advanced durable water repellent (DWR) technologies, including fluorine-free options from innovators like Gore-Tex's newer membranes.
•Tightly woven natural fibers or mechanical treatments that achieve repellency naturally.
Brands and suppliers are investing heavily—many outdoor and technical apparel companies have already transitioned, proving performance doesn't have to suffer. Supply chains are cleaning up, and costs are dropping as adoption grows. We call on more manufacturers to commit fully—no more "essential use" excuses where viable swaps exist.

Raising awareness & smarter shopping: Scrutinize labels and marketing. Red flags include claims like "waterproof," "stain-repellent," "dirt-proof," or ingredients with "fluoro," "perfluoro," or "PFC." Seek out "PFAS-free," "PFC-free," or certifications like Bluesign-approved. Prioritize natural/organic fibers (e.g., organic cotton, wool, linen, TENCEL™) that often skip these treatments. Look for brands phasing out PFAS: Patagonia, Arc'teryx, The North Face, Adidas, Outerknown, Pact, Boody, and others lead here—many now offer fully PFAS-free lines. Remember, these chemicals can migrate to skin, so what you wear matters for daily exposure.

Better guidance on fibre care & washing practices: Even with PFAS-free pieces, habits reduce microfiber shedding, chemical release (if any residues remain), and environmental impact:
•Wash new garments before first wear to rinse manufacturing residues.
•Wash less frequently—spot clean or air out when possible to extend life and cut water use.
•Use cold water cycles (reduces shedding and energy).
•Try tools like Cora Ball, Guppyfriend bags, or filtering laundry systems to capture microplastics/PFAS particles before they enter waterways.
•Skip fabric softeners and high-heat dryers (they increase release); air dry instead.
•Choose PFAS-free or eco-labeled detergents—avoid those listing fluoro compounds.
These steps protect your clothes, your health, and rivers/oceans alike.

The momentum is building—regulations are tightening, alternatives are scaling, and awareness is rising. Let's turn knowledge into action: demand transparency, support innovators, and rethink our wardrobes. What PFAS-free changes have you made? Drop your swaps, tips, or questions below—we're in this thread together! #ThreadsOfKnowledge #PFASFree #SustainableFashion #ForeverChemicals @DerbyCommunityHub @ImFashion
