Now You Can Compile a TXTWRK Questionnaire With This New Upgrade

Overview

TXTWRK has now upgraded the question system so members can compile individual question posts into full questionnaire sets.

Before this update, a TXTWRK question worked mainly as a single post feature. A member could ask a question, add answer options, let people vote, and show the results inside that post.

That system still exists.

The difference now is that those question posts can be organised together.

A member can take multiple existing TXTWRK questions and group them into one named questionnaire. This means a set of questions can be completed more easily, shown more clearly, and used for community feedback, business insight, event planning, student research, or local discovery.

What Has Changed

The main change is simple:

TXTWRK questions can now be compiled into questionnaire sets.

That means each question still works as its own post, but it can also become part of a larger questionnaire.

A questionnaire can now have:

FeaturePurpose
Questionnaire nameGives the set a clear title
DescriptionExplains what the questionnaire is for
Completion dateAdds an optional deadline
Question listStores the selected question post IDs
Question countShows how many questions are included
StatusAllows the set to be Published, Draft or Ended
Profile module controlLets members decide whether Questionnaires appear on their profile
This gives members a much better way to organise questions without losing the original post system.

---

Why This Matters

Many community questions do not work properly when they are left scattered across separate posts.

One question may ask what people want.

Another may ask what support they need.

Another may ask whether they would attend an event.

Another may ask what local services they use.

Individually, each question is useful. Together, they can tell a much bigger story.

That is why this upgrade matters.

TXTWRK can now help members build structured questionnaires from the questions they already create.

This makes it easier for people to answer a full set, and easier for the profile owner to organise feedback around a real purpose.

---

Built on the Existing Question System

This upgrade does not replace TXTWRK questions.

It builds on them.

Each question still remains a post.

Each question can still have answer options.

Each question can still collect votes.

Each question can still show results.

Each user can still only answer a question once.

The new layer simply allows those posts to be grouped into a questionnaire.

This keeps TXTWRK flexible while adding more structure for community use.

How It Works

A member can now create a questionnaire by selecting from their existing question posts.

The latest questions can be loaded first, and the member can choose which ones belong in the set.

Once saved, the questionnaire stores the selected post IDs as an organised question list.

The member can then manage the questionnaire as:

StatusMeaning
DraftStill being prepared
PublishedActive and ready to show
EndedClosed or no longer active
This gives people a proper workflow.

They can build the questionnaire first, publish it when ready, and end it when the work is complete.

---

Profile Control

The profile module is controlled separately.

That means a member can decide whether Questionnaires appear on their profile at all.

This is important because the profile should not automatically show everything a member creates.

A member may want to prepare questions privately.

They may want to publish one questionnaire but keep another in draft.

They may want to end an old questionnaire but keep it stored.

They may want the whole questionnaire module hidden until they are ready.

The new system supports that.

What People See

When a question belongs to a questionnaire set, the post can now explain that above the question.

For example:

Derby.support Business Enrolment (24)
This question is part of a questionnaire set.

The question can also include a direct link under it:

Answer @Username:Qs!

This helps people understand that the single question is part of something bigger, and gives them a route to answer the full set from the profile.

Why It Helps Communities

This upgrade is important for community work because it turns simple posts into organised feedback tools.

A local group can ask what people need.

A business can ask customers what they want.

A student project can collect structured answers.

An event organiser can ask what people want to attend.

A local network can use questionnaires to understand the area better.

Instead of answers being lost across separate posts, the questionnaire system keeps them connected.

---

Why It Helps Derby.support

For Derby.support, this is a major step.

Businesses can be enrolled through TXTWRK and asked a proper set of questions.

Community members can answer questions about local needs, events, skills, support, venues, safety and the future of Derby.

Students can use the system for campaign work and local research.

Groups can gather evidence before asking for support or building new projects.

This gives Derby.support a stronger way to collect real local intelligence while keeping everything connected to TXTWRK profiles and posts.

The Bigger Direction

TXTWRK is becoming a system where posts can turn into tools.

A post can become a question.

A question can become part of a questionnaire.

A questionnaire can become feedback.

Feedback can become evidence.

Evidence can help shape action.

This is the bigger direction of TXTWRK: helping people create community-made systems from the things they already post.

Questionnaires are now part of that future.

They make TXTWRK more organised, more useful and more powerful for communities, businesses, students and local networks.

This is not just a form feature.

It is a new layer of community intelligence.
