As a feedback based community, we believe that Derby College could’ve done a lot better when we worked with them.
Each week we would keep the Derby College team & students informed about progress and what to do next. Derby College failed to keep in touch weekly and also failed to provide me with a review, alongside failing to responding to my application for grant support.
Now we have to question what this really means today. We will be translating this back to Derby College this week.
When students exceed and are inspired from your new community, which you have given your time for free to read all of their essays once twice or three times, alongside the 3 workshops we did last summer, that basic review is just how a professional college operates.
We operated to the highest standard, even when we adapted we kept all of the students in the loop. Now it feels like they don’t want us even though we have not followed up them they should’ve followed up us. In fact, we did send them a few email nudges for the review, including tagging them on social media, seeking a review.
When people give their time for free, at least give them a little something, this is volunteering, not using. — ImSunnyClaire
