January 2026 Theme of Interest: Criminology 🔍

Derby Community Hub x TXTWRK

This month, we’re inviting Derby to step into the role of criminologists — questioning how things work, identifying unsafe zones, and shaping safer practices for our city.

Advice for Participation

1. Post Street Feedback via TXTWRK
Share what you see in your neighbourhood — unsafe areas, positive changes, or ideas for improvement. Every post builds our collective map of Derby’s safety.

2. Setup a Checklist at TXTWRK
Create or join community checklists to organise tasks, invite others to participate, and track progress on local matters.

3. Use the Category ‘Case Study’
If you’re working on a known area (or making one known), tag it as a Case Study. These stories can then be shared across networks, becoming part of Derby’s living memory.

Why TXTWRK?

TXTWRK is more than a platform — it’s a public post box for the city.
•Your contributions link directly to your profile, making involvement visible and meaningful.
•By adding your location, you’ll be featured in the Derby.support(http://www.Derby.support) index menu — a hub that other cities can install too.
•Events you create at TXTWRK are automatically visible on Derby.support, thanks to our API kit from TXTWRK Services.

When you join our checklists, any files you upload — research, notes, evidence — are stored directly on our server via TXTWRK. This is the future now, not tomorrow: transforming line by line, building a foundation that helps humanity.

The Bigger Vision 🌍

This Derby theme is just the beginning. Later, we’ll inspire other cities and towns to install TXTWRK API kits, bringing volunteers into the new wave of civic participation. These log books, stories, and places won’t be forgotten — they’ll be here for thousands of years, giving our children the space to shape their world too.
