🇬🇧 Andy Burnham: A New Leader, A New Promise of Hope for Britain

Today marks a new chapter for our country.

We congratulate Andy Burnham as he steps forward to lead the United Kingdom, taking on the responsibility of rebuilding trust, restoring confidence and delivering the change that communities across Great Britain have been asking for.

We also recognise Keir Starmer for presenting the vision of "work, work, work" — a message built around ambition, contribution and the belief that Britain's future is created through effort, opportunity and determination.

But now comes the moment where vision must become reality.

The people of Great Britain are looking for more than words. They want to see action, progress and a government that understands the everyday experiences of the communities it serves.

Andy Burnham has entered office with a message of hope — focusing on rebuilding confidence, strengthening communities and creating a long-term plan for Britain's future.

Early changes and priorities being watched closely include:

🪪 A rethink of Digital ID

The new government has moved away from the previous Digital ID approach, signalling a change in priorities and a focus on different solutions for the challenges facing the country.

🏠 Housing and homelessness

A renewed focus on tackling rough sleeping and supporting vulnerable people, recognising that a stronger Britain must ensure people have security and dignity.

🏛️ More power for communities

A commitment to giving regions, towns and local communities a stronger voice in decisions that affect their futures.

️ Growth, skills and opportunity

A focus on rebuilding confidence, supporting jobs, improving services and creating opportunities for the next generation.

---

🇬🇧 Building Britain's Future Together

But change is not created by government alone.

That is why our independent @UnitedKingdom community on TXTWRK exists.

We are building a place where people across Britain can have their voice heard openly, publicly and confidently.

A place where ideas, research, comments and contributions become part of a living record of our communities — conversations that are remembered, not forgotten.

> Your voice matters.
>
> Your research matters.
>
> Your work matters.

This is why we have been supporting the development of TheUKparty.com — creating new ways for people to participate, organise, share ideas and contribute towards the future direction of our country.

It doesn't matter which political party you support.

What matters is whether you support positive change.

---

Our Community Checklist

Cost of Living

Our aim is simple:

Listen. Research. Discuss. Measure. Deliver.

We want communities to understand:
What has been promised.
What has already been delivered.
What still needs to happen.
How people can contribute.

---

🎓 The Next Generation Has Already Started

This journey has already begun.

Derby College has started using TXTWRK Technologies through Derby.support, showing that students are already taking the leap into a future where their voices, skills and creativity can be developed, shared and recognised.

The next generation isn't waiting for tomorrow.

They're building it today.

🇬🇧 Our Message to Britain

As Andy Burnham begins this new chapter for Britain, our message is simple.

We welcome hope.

We support progress.

We expect delivery.

And we'll continue building a stronger voice for communities across the United Kingdom.

Together we can build a Britain that is stronger, fairer, more connected and more confident about its future.

Help us put Derby back on track, where you can use your voices more constructively on social media, from giving local feedback to volunteering with us.

Students at Derby College volunteered with us last summer and now it’s time that you joined us too at www.Derby.suppprt

Alternatively if you want to share your views & suggestions for Britain, then we recommend visiting www.TheUKparty.com & applying to a checklist!

Now we have a new Prime Minister @UK Government Andy Burnham, there’s great change in the air, but this time we need to see the right changes, from tackling the Cost of Living crisis to improving living standards, from better local & national spending to listening to the people; these changes are vital for the spirit of our working nation, where everyone must work, regardless of disabilities or challenges we face, a new Britain is being developed, with you at the forefront of it!

We seek support from all organisations in Derby, from Derby Museums to University of Derby, every organisation will benefit from the work we are doing, alongside the next generation, who are woke to the system, they seek more from today.

Thankfully we’ve done everything right, we just need to fix how people support one another in the City of Derby, from communication basics, right up to being more informative.

Thanks to everyone who has noticed our mini movement since 2021, that was mocked as just a “yellow pages” to growing further into something far more powerful than Facebook’s community technology. It’s just the start and things will only get better, as long as we dodge the insults and focus on the constructive feedback! #derbyshire #unitedkingdom #volunteer #derbycitycouncil www.Derby.support/donate

@GovUK @UKGovernment testing the waters again with an energy scare or propaganda for business, we call it?

Indeed they are.

Water is one of the most important elements in our society and even though it needs major reforms, investment and support today and into the decades ahead, it remains one of the most affordable essentials available to people across the United Kingdom.

So what is happening, you ask?

Business, government, regulators, campaigners and unions are once again clashing over what is right, what is affordable, who should pay, and what the future of our waterways should look like. That is the latest chapter unfolding on this frontier.

The challenges are not small. Aging infrastructure, sewage discharges, river health, drought concerns, population growth, environmental protection, flood management, energy demands and rising operating costs are all competing for attention at the same time.

But while the headlines focus on conflict, there is a bigger question:

What kind of water system do we want for the next 10, 20 or 50 years?

Should investment be accelerated?
Should waterways receive greater environmental protections?
Should communities have more say in local water decisions?
Should innovation and new technologies play a larger role?
How do we balance affordability with long-term improvements?

These are not questions for government and industry alone.

Communities, local groups, businesses, charities, engineers, environmental organisations and everyday citizens all have a role to play in shaping the future of water, rivers, reservoirs, flood protection and waste management across the United Kingdom.

The future of our waterways is being written now.

What changes would you like to see?

The answer isn't to stop young people using technology.

The answer is to build better technology, better education, better parenting support, and better behaviour systems.

Every major system in society teaches people how to behave. Schools do it. Workplaces do it. Sports clubs do it. Roads do it.

We don't ban roads because some people drive dangerously.

We teach, guide, monitor, enforce rules where necessary, and help people become better road users.

The same principle should apply online.

Apps and networks should become better at identifying harmful behaviour patterns, educating users, promoting healthier interactions, and helping people understand the consequences of their actions before problems escalate.

If social media is restricted, what comes next?

Online gaming?

Private messaging apps?

Virtual worlds?

Community forums?

The challenge doesn't disappear because a person leaves one platform. In many cases the behaviour simply moves elsewhere, often into spaces with even less visibility, support, moderation, or education.

Bad actors adapt.

New targets appear.

The underlying problem remains.

Young people need places where they can build profiles, create things, make mistakes, learn lessons, recover from those mistakes, and move forward with confidence.

That is how people develop.

The bigger conversation should not only be about platforms.

It should also be about parenting support, digital education, community responsibility, media responsibility, government responsibility, and the responsibilities of the technology companies themselves.

Over the last 15 years we have seen increasing levels of outrage-driven content, division, anger, and political point-scoring across many parts of public life.

If politicians want to discuss the effects of online behaviour, then the discussion should include everyone contributing to that environment — including politicians, media organisations, influencers, app vendors, advertisers, and public institutions.

Technology is not going away.

The question is whether we teach people to use it well.

The future should be built around digital education, personal responsibility, transparency, accountability, and helping people develop healthy online behaviours — not simply removing access and hoping the problem disappears.

Ready TXTWRK Story Post for @UnitedKingdom

Title:
Same Human Boat

Story text:
From Derby to Gaza, the streets are not the same — but the human need is.

Some people wake up under bombs.
Some wake up under debt, pressure, grief, fear, racism, loneliness, or silence.
Different realities. Different levels of danger. But still one truth:

People need safety.
People need food.
People need dignity.
People need somewhere to breathe.
People need someone to care before the world moves on.

Today, TXTWRK stands for ordinary people — families, children, workers, neighbours, strangers — trying to stay human in systems that keep breaking them.

We do not have to speak with hate to speak with power.
We do not have to erase one pain to recognise another.
We can hold Derby in one hand, Gaza in the other, and say:

No community should be abandoned.
No child should be reduced to a statistic.
No person should have to beg for peace, food, shelter, or basic dignity.

This is a call for compassion, not division.
A call to build, not destroy.
A call to remember that humanity is not a border.

TXTWRK.com — work for people, stories for the world.

Suggested caption:
From Derby to Gaza, the situations are not equal — but humanity is shared. Stand for dignity. Stand for peace. Stand for people.

Hashtags:
#TXTWRK #UnitedKingdom #Derby #Gaza #Humanity #Peace #Community #Dignity #RespectPeople

Media image concept:
A split-but-connected scene: on one side, a quiet Derby street with terraced houses and soft grey UK sky; on the other, a damaged Gaza street at dusk. Between them, a small wooden boat made of light carries diverse people holding candles. No flags, no weapons, no gore. Warm, respectful, documentary-poster style, hopeful but serious.

A progress update after 17 months of developing TXTWRK, the world’s best network in the making!

We’ve made a bunch of new updates lately for our notification and checklist technology. You can now query a member’s engagements, you can also query a members directory to see their files, you can also format a message to switch between raw code and link code, you can copy raw code and you can copy the link of a comment too. — You will also be able to do all of these things on replies and threadlets in the next 24 hours, alongside doing some of these things when viewing applicants. We’ve tried to make the process a lot more easier and organised when things get busy.

Notification updates recently includes being able to hide individual notifications or hide notifications from a member, to help you manage your notifications better. You can still view notifications from them, if you choose to do so via the visibility filter. We will also introduce the ability to set rules and to be able to make labels/groups to segregate your notifications to the highest of levels for network delivery.

In other news, it’s super interesting how we have managed to link our API Directory kit to members directories for checklist owners servers, so now you can click on “Query Member Directory” to see a members files with ease for a checklist they are working on. We also made changes to primarily uploading files versus adding files to comments, which enables businesses & charities to own & manage their own data.

There’s lots more news coming up over the next two weeks, from seeing our advertising system in action, right up to taking a lead in the leaders innovation fund for the United Kingdom government programme is 2025.

You will see us develop in the live space over the next 48 hours, talking about this new fund being offered by the UK government which we will be encouraging UK entrepreneurs to apply to this leaders fund as well. We understand that we are eligible for this fund and with our recent progress @DerbyCollege, we’re looking forward to being a pioneer in work based technology for many years to come, where Derby College has expressed their interest in continuing our work & expanding upon our partnerships via Derby Community Hub & TXTWRK, alongside other ventures of our founder, such as UIA The Game & The ImFashion Group. We started on our journey to help people volunteer and now we’re achieving this goal, alongside inspiring the next generation of students, who most needed our opportunities.

Nearly 6 months complete in 2025, there’s no better time than now to reflect on the developments we’ve made across our life & work.
